Much like the Alfa Kona design, this board checks a box in Big Island’s Willy Petrovic’s request list for a board he could ride both Prone and DK in the solid slabby waves of his underground spots. Somewhat parallel rails combined with just the right amount of nose curve and a quad channel set up makes this board fast and functional whether on the knee or dragging. An extended thumb groove helps you lock in and hold on when for when things get rough. The Kinetic PP core moves from a Mid Flex on the smaller sizes to a Pro Flex on the bigger sizes. It also progresses from a single stringer + mesh layup for the 39.5", 40.5" and 41.5″ to a double stringer + mesh for the 42.25″ and 43.25".
