In 1994, Jack went on a trip to Tahiti that he often refers to as the best surf trip of his life. One of the trips special moments came early on when Jack strummed the intro of ELP’s “From the Beginning” to the welcoming Tahitians and boogie crew. The guitar riff of the distant UK Rock group formed a bridge and connection for everyone there. Jack had always felt that music and surfing were inseparable, and on this occasion, the guitar was the vehicle of the moment. This left an indelible impression on him and furthered his appreciation for all of the world’s amazing guitar players.
Foxey, the latest Tribute Series Pro Model, is named in honor of perhaps the greatest guitar player of all time…Jimi Hendrix. The font is in the classic Fender guitar font, Jimi’s axe of choice. The design itself, a streamlined blade available in 43.75 and 47.75, comes with deep acknowledgment of the contributions from shapers Buzz Morasca and Carlos Rios and their time invested with Jack over the years to help arrive at this final design. This final version of Foxey, the one here today, passed through the final stages of fine-tuning under the watchful eye of shapers Nick Mesritz and Dan Sivess. Jack notes, “ I am so grateful to have had the efforts of these great shapers to create a board that literally has a fifth gear. You gotta pump it in DK for it to kick in, but when it does…just amazing. Thanks to Buzz, Carlos, Nick and Dan for developing it with me, for me, and now for everyone to enjoy.”
The Jack Lindholm Foxey Signature Model features a kinetic core, surlyn slick, double stringers and a Tension Tech substrate on a DK directed blade.
